Clint — social worker and trauma counselor

Social Worker · Trauma-Informed Educator · Trauma Counselor

How I got here

I didn't plan to become a social worker. Like a lot of the people I now sit with, I arrived here through a longer, less tidy path — one shaped by the people around me, the questions I couldn't stop asking, and a quiet sense that something in the way we usually talk about pain was missing the point.

Over time, I found my way to trauma pedagogy (Traumapädagogik) and trauma-centered professional consultation. For more than seven years I worked alongside children in difficult circumstances, young people with socio-emotional challenges, and the families around them.

"I had always felt something like this approach. I just hadn't had the words for it yet."

Why the name "Atlas"?

In Greek mythology, Atlas was the Titan condemned to hold up the sky for eternity, a burden that seemed to belong to the whole world, not just to him.

That image feels familiar. Many of the people I accompany carry a weight that feels just as heavy: responsibilities, expectations, or pain that aren't entirely theirs, yet they carry them nonetheless.

But an atlas is something else, too. It's a collection of maps. A way of finding your bearings when the landscape feels unfamiliar.

That's the practice I wanted to create. Not a place where you carry the weight alone, and not one that pretends the weight isn't there. A place that offers orientation: a way to see the paths that have been there all along, even if they weren't visible before.

You don't need to have it all figured out to begin. You just need a map, and someone willing to walk beside you while you find your way.

How I work

Trauma-informed. Non-pathologising.

That work taught me one thing above all: people carry more capacity for healing than they are often given credit for. Behaviour that looks like a problem almost always makes sense once you understand what someone has lived through. My role is not to fix, it's to create a space safe enough for that capacity to emerge.

Warmth

Welcoming people, not symptoms.

Safety

Predictable, grounded, never rushed.

Openness

All ages, all stories, all languages.

Curiosity

Eager to understand together.

Who I work with

People, at every stage.

Whether you're just beginning to name what you've lived through, or you've been on this path for a while — there is a place here for you.
